Tommy Southard rushed for 126 yards and two touchdowns to give visiting Druid Hills a 13 to 12 victory over Gordon Friday night.

Southard’s winning touchdown came on a one-yard run with six minutes to play. He scored in the third quarter from nine yards out to put Druid Hills back in the game after Gordon had taken a 12 to 0 lead.

Mike Weaver ran two yards and Bobby Terrell 12 for first half touchdowns for Gordon.

The victory was Druid Hills’ sixth in seven outings. Both teams are 1 to 1 in Region 4AA East.
